RapidDx Devices
A ‘lab in your hand’
The user-friendly patented RapidDx Rapid Assessment Device (RAD) will be designed to facilitate the process of saliva collection and testing. The device will play an important role in the detection of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and in assessing conditions like traumatic brain injury/concussion.
How the RapidDx Rapid Assessment Devices will work
Step 1
User inserts saliva absorption pad into the cheek or sub-lingual pocket
Step 2
Red ‘indicator’ dot informs user sufficient saliva has been collected
Step 3
User inserts collection wick into the device
Step 4
User turns the knob, compressing saliva to the test strips
Step 5
What the RapidDx RAD assesses
The RapidDx RAD will be a versatile device used for testing various diseases and conditions. For example, the RapidDx RAD for concussion assessment is designed as an over-the-counter (OTC) product for a quick response to falls, sports injuries, vehicle accidents, and other traumatic events, while the RapidDx RADs for Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s diseases utilize specific biomarkers quantitatively measured in saliva samples. Medical professionals play a crucial role in interpreting the data, providing counseling, and recommending appropriate actions for patients and caregivers based on the test outcomes.
